Tldr: rodholders is good for money focus and trolling covering large territory. hell late in development trotlines and jugging sounds nice as ways to focus on money gain over exp gain.
filling these blanks will help lay the ground work for boats in the future like for alluminum and wooden v-hull dinghys, duel oars for dinghy's/jonboats, deep lake sport boats seen on the great lakes, and carolina skiffs for inshore saltwater/brakish water like from the chesapeake bay on down to the gulf.īasically I dream drift fishing for blue/channel catfish on the Mississippi or james with 2-6 rods to take my limit and make money(the later I fish, they been hitting cut mullet and menhaden alot lately) for fish of all sizes minus really small cats(young 3-10lb blue and flathead when-). Also the ability to walk on boats,the boat as well increases storage depending on type, the boats limit to hold fish, increased customization, attachable and upgradable sonars, attachable trolling motors. I started doing the same with bottom rods on michigan to take in pike, I can only imagine rod holder's that can be added up to 4 so a boat can have 6. for trolling with only 2 rod holders I have two feeder rods on each and trolling slow at 1% with a crankbait/suspended minnow to strike fast.
I go out to the drop offs and weed edges to drift or troll, taking in alot of fish to fill my keep net. Like at emerald when I want money over exp instead of fishing from the bank with minnows for walleye on 12-16lb line leveling be irrelevant. Trolling can be doen with either electric trollign motors on the bow, the main engine, sail, 2 oars, or a kayak with its single rod holder(and maybe more, Idk much about kayak trolling, gotta ask my cuz up north) In the fisherman most of my fishing is either multirod float or ledger from shore, or up to three float/bottom rods on boat still, drifting or trolling(especially trolling with minnows/shiners is a full strike the fish hang on unlike insects, cutbait, processed baits). I think rod holders are a tool for trolling, drift fishing, and spider rigging.
